Happy 4th of July!
It’s a very interesting day to say the very least. Spending time with friends, BBQ’ing and packing. I have spent the last two months in Baltimore helping some very close friends with their new and wonderful set of twins. However, today is my last night here in Baltimore and what better way to celebrate, then with fireworks. It’s bitter sweet that my time is over here, but I pack for a new day.
Tomorrow I leave the States behind for an amazing trip to many parts of the world. To places I have never been to, but have only imagined. London, Sri Lanka, India, and Scotland are only a few of the places I plan to visit over the next few months. I’m also excited to meet up with some old friends and find some new ones along the way.
I remember enjoyed geography and maps at an early age. I would always look at maps of far away cites wondering what’s going on there and what are the people like. I often wondered if in that city, was there a kid looking at a map where I was, thinking the same thing? So born with gypsy like ways and a desire for adventure, this trip has been a long time coming.
Strangely, I don’t typically shoot as much when I travel. I take the usual vacation snapshots but few actually photographs. I guess I vacation from photography on my vacations. I wonder if this will be the case on this trip. I’ll share anything worthy along the way.
I know I have set this blog up to talk about past, current, and future photography, however I’m going to veer off a bit and use this as a journal of my travels.
Wish me luck….
